My husband and I absolutely love hosting, especially when the holidays roll around, so this year I decided to make something fun, festive, and a little spooky for Halloween: Halloween Jello Shots! And let me tell you, they came out phenomenal.
These little shots are the perfect combination of sweet, fruity, and refreshing, with strawberry Jello bringing that delicious berry flavor, cranberry juice adding a slightly tart twist, fresh lime brightening everything up, and vodka giving them the perfect kick. The flavors come together so beautifully that they taste almost like a fruity cocktail in Jello shot form!
I love that they’re easy to make ahead of time, look adorable on a Halloween party table, and are always a hit with guests. They have just the right balance of sweetness and tanginess, making them dangerously delicious (in the best way!). Whether you’re hosting a Halloween party, having friends over for a spooky movie night, or just looking for a fun seasonal treat for your next get-together, these Halloween Jello Shots are guaranteed to be a crowd favorite.
Add the strawberry Jello powder to a medium heatproof bowl. Pour in 1 cup of boiling water and whisk for about 2 minutes, or until the powder is completely dissolved.
Stir in the chilled cranberry juice, vodka, and fresh lime juice until everything is well combined.
Carefully pour the mixture into your plastic shot cups, filling each about three-quarters full. Add lids once the cups are filled. Place the cups on a tray for easy transfer to the refrigerator.
Refrigerate for 4 hours, or until the Jello shots are completely firm. Garnish with gummy worms or your favorite Halloween candy just before serving for a fun, festive finishing touch!
Keep them covered: Use lids to keep the shots fresh and prevent them from absorbing other odors in the refrigerator.
Don't add extra vodka: Too much alcohol can prevent the Jello shots from setting properly. Stick to the measurements for the best consistency.
Store leftovers safely: Keep any leftover Jello shots covered in the refrigerator and enjoy them within a few days.
